^_^ found here. Yes, I admit, it's a bridesmaid dress. But it's a very pretty white bridesmaid dress that I wore to my wedding :-D
I bought it at Lily's Bridal in Bel Air (however unfortunately they recently closed) and paid just over $300 with alterations (done elsewhere) and a pin I swooned over in Lily's.
Here is the link for the other Lily's Bridal in MD (which I'm sad to say was a tragic disappointment to me, however while the store in Bel Air was open, they were fabulous- I just hope the people from that store make an impact on the one in Glen Burnie) and here is a link to the tailor I used- yes, the site is lacking but I decided to at least meet the guy after a coworker and good friend recommended him. I fell in love. If I ever need anything tailored again, he will be the one I call.
yeah. So, I'll be posting a tad less often but hopefully I plan to keep up with this!

Pronovias dresses
This ad makes me swoon everytime I see it in a wedding magazine (I almost always do) and hadn't realized till this morning while standing in Walgreen's skimming the new Bridal Guide that NOT seeing it saddens me. So, of course, I had to share it. >
After I learned the name of the designer that made the dress (only took me 3 hours of google searching before I called my mother and begged her to go look in my "inspiration binder", find the photo and read me the names listed on the page -yeah, I ripped it right out of a magazine, I loved it so much), I started to skim their site and ohhh myyyy... >
behold- The Odin dress. This dress just screams greek goddess to me and honest, if I had the crazy amount of $ I would so be wearing this. No, not at my wedding - every friggin' day. I swoon. Pronovias: you do good.
And then there is the Tarot dress... that has pockets. And a wild front slit. Usually not my style, this dress was too interesting not to post.

dresses of the day
*swoons* Found this designer gem over at Alfred Angelo's and love the whole thing!
(nothing like mine but still pretty as it gets hehe)
and then there's this great buy! Honestly, aside from the shape they're not that similar but this looks like a beautiful dress and the price is fantastic $89! Hurry, it's 50% off over at Chadwicks.

dress shopping
These past two weekends, my cousin/bridesmaid/best friend, my mum and I have been visiting malls trying on dresses. After a long, dreamy walk through Nordstrom's (after which she nearly wept, she says it's the most fabulous dept store she's ever lain eyes on... she'd have a coronary in the NYC Nordstrom's hehe). Later I found THIS on their website and I LIKE A LOT-
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2984554/0~2376776~2374327~6022409~6022410?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6022410&P=1Then I found this blue one (it's actually a prom dress, same as the other but it looks close enough to a bridesmaid dress for me) and I really like the style of this
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3012761/0~2376776~2374327~6022409~6022410?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6022410&P=2Now this one, we found in New York & Company, it was displayed in the window and we were taking bets on how much it would cost. I said $130, cousin said $150, and Mum said $160...
IT'S $40 !!!!!
because of the cheapness and versatility, I think this maybe be the dress we've been looking for. It's flattering on most body types and the color is really nice.
both Cousin and I like the color of this (and the price!) and the halter though I have a feeling the back of this dress would not be appropriate for a wedding
http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=352816&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_resultsNow we just have to find something to wear over top of these... they simply don't make dresses winter-worthy any longer do they?
